Laurier-Sainte-Marie

According to a Facebook note, Philippe Allard, the Director for scientific activities at the Association francophone pour le savoir – Acfas, is going to go after the Liberal nomination in Laurier-Sainte-Marie, which has been held by Bloc Quebecois leader Gilles Duceppe since being elected in a 1990 by-election.

It's an interesting idea. Duceppe has managed to win it by very healthy margins ever since being elected. The riding has also delivered some of the best in Quebec outside Outremont for the NDP, so they would probably be eyeballing it as well. If Duceppe did step down, I would say the BQ still has a good chance of retaining it, but if the Liberals could land a big name and steal some NDP votes, they could make it interesting.

Philippe Allard is hitting the Duceppe Clannistes very hard with his eye-opening Top 20 Failures by the Bloc over the past twenty years that I have had the pleasure of translating.

Once we fine tune the translation and the French version to include the sources, additions I put in, then we'll print this and leave it all over the riding, plus youtube videos of us reading it out :)
Here's the translation link in progress: http://cid-49b6e513e0dde7b8.office.live.com/view.aspx/20YearsOfLosership/Notes%20to%20Mark%2020%20Years%20of%20Failure%20by%20the%20Bloc%20Qu%C3%A9b%C3%A9cois.docx?wa=wsignin1.0&sa=250303453
