Nomination news in my backyard

A development in Oakville, right next door to my home riding of Mississauga South. Alice from http://www.punditsguide.ca/ in a little bit of a reverse act directed me towards this: http://twitter.com/claurinbowie, the Twitter page of Connie Laurin-Bowie who has served as the Director, Policy and Programmes, of Inclusion International and coordinator of government liaison for Canadian Association for Community Living (both advocacy groups for persons with intellectual disabilities), has declared herself for the Liberal nomination in this affluent GTA West riding.

Interestingly, if Laurin-Bowie won the nomination, she would be following the pattern of previous Liberal MP Bonnie Brown, who also had a background in social work.

Some news on another nomination coming up on July 14 in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound. Kimberly Love will be acclaimed as the Liberal candidate in this riding held by Reformatory MP Larry Miller.

Ha ha, although I admit I have to work hard to stay ahead of the Scarf when it comes to eastern Liberal nominations!

Let's see if you're this good when it comes to western Canada (Manitoba barely counts, but I'll give you that one too ;-)).
