Thanks to an anon e-mail, here we go:
2008 candidate Tyler Banham in Hamilton Mountain. (Declared)
Former MPP and provincial cabinet minister Marie Bountrogianni in Hamilton Mountain (rumoured)
Bob Bratina, a popular city councillor and radio host in Hamilton Centre (rumoured)
2004 candidate Debbie Zimmerman in Niagara West—Glanbrook (declared)
Kitchener mayor Carl Zehr in Kitchener—Conestoga (rumoured)
2008 candidate Jacquie Gauthier in London-Fanshawe (declared)
I've also heard that Larry Di Ianna in Hamilton East-Stoney Creek and Dan MacLean in Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale will almost certainly be the candidates in their respective ridings.
Have you heard anything about Whitby-Oshawa?
ReplyDeleteNot yet.
ReplyDeleteMarie Bountrogianni running in the Mountain would be a much better choice than Banham, even though he's a nice guy. She was the one who beat Chris Charlton twice, I think.
ReplyDeleteMr. Bratina would make a really strong candidate for Hamilton Centre! He is an excellent councillor and widely respected.
ReplyDeleteThunder Bay Superior North:
ReplyDeleteThunder Bay City Councilor Joe Virdiramo announced his intention to seek the nomination
In addition to Yves Fricot Lawyer and Vice President of Buchanan Forest Products.
Likewise if Carl Zehr decides to run for the Liberals in Kitchener-Conestoga, that would make this one a real battle for the CPC to hold.
ReplyDeleteZehr's been a good mayor, and would more than likely he'd win re-election here in the next municipal vote. Actually that may just keep him holding on to the job he's already got.
Any news about Parry Sound-Muskoka?
ReplyDeleteNothing out of Parry Sound yet that I have heard.
ReplyDeleteI agree with LMA that Mr. Bratina would be a great candidate. Here is a Hamilton Spectator article on the possibility of him running:

Any word on who is considering running in Huron-Bruce? Greg McLinchey would be a great choice if he runs again.
